Your new role
Reporting to the Non-Process Infrastructure Area Manager, the Package Lead – Non-Process Infrastructure will be responsible for managing the infrastructure components assigned to them—such as various types of buildings, roads, and an airport - including strategy, planning, engineering, execution, and delivery, during the construction phase of the Windfall mining project (currently in pre-construction phase).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee engineering deliverables throughout all phases of the project, from feasibility to execution.
- Monitor cost control, scheduling, estimating, and risk management for the assigned infrastructure components.
- Produce accurate reports and provide relevant analyses to support informed decision-making.
- Track cost, progress, and schedule reports, and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Manage the development of financial models and CAPEX estimates for feasibility study updates related to these infrastructure elements.
- Promote collaboration and ensure effective communication of risks related to this package to stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering within an industrial environment, ideally involving remote site construction
- Strong understanding of structural and civil engineering principles applied to foundations, concrete structures, steel structures, roads, ponds, and airports
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian and international structural and civil engineering standards, including those related to seismic resistance, freeze/thaw cycles, mining operational loads, and safety
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Proficient in data analysis and report generation to assess performance and work effort
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced facilitation skills in both small and large group settings
- Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in French is essential, with at least functional proficiency in English
