What You’ll Be Doing: **Reporting to the Senior Director, Real Estate Development & Construction, the Senior Project Coordinator supports the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of capital projects across Sienna’s portfolio.

This role provides comprehensive project and administrative support through all stages of development and construction — from pre-design and budgeting to procurement, execution, and close-out. The Senior Project Coordinator works with a high degree of independence, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with corporate objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Assists with coordination of multiple renovation, redevelopment, and new construction projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assists with preparation and maintenance of detailed project schedules, cost tracking, risk logs, and progress reports.
  • Reviews design drawings, tender documents, and consultant submissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists in procurement processes including RFP preparation, bid analysis, and contract administration.
  • Tracks and processes change orders, purchase orders, and invoices; ensures accurate cost coding and budget alignment.
  • Liaises with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to support project execution and resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintains organized project documentation, databases, and departmental standards, including shared drives and templates.
  • Prepares executive-ready presentations, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Supports the continuous improvement of departmental systems and processes.
  • Provides informal guidance and mentorship to junior administrative staff as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning or a related discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years of progressive experience in real estate development and/or construction coordination, preferably in seniors living, healthcare, or institutional environments.
  • Experience with Yardi Job Cost or equivalent project accounting systems.
  • PMP, CET, or equivalent designation is an asset.
