Salary Range: $49.02 - $57.68 /hour

The Specialist, Ontario Review Board is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the annual report writing process to identify the patient/s progress since their last Ontario Review Board (ORB) hearing and submit the report to the Ontario Review Board (ORB). The role also involves facilitating a clinical team meeting to review the report data, to verify and make adjustments as required to ensure the patient's progress is accurately reported.

The role also requires providing education to individual clinicians and teams about the report writing process to ensure the teams understand the expectations for their participation in this process. Additionally, the ORB consultant monitors the quality of the report and report writing process and makes process improvements as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences Field
  • Registered as a Regulated Health Professional (RHPA)
  • 3 years experience in mental health services
  • Knowledge of mental health and forensic psychiatry
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Previous clinical hospital experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate clinical team meetings
  • Experience providing education to health care providers and clinical teams
  • Able to review, collate and summarize required information into a coherent legal report
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French would be an asset.
  • Master's Degree in Health Sciences Field

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
