About the role
Overview We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and can confidently manage day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities independently.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and takes pride in maintaining clean and reliable financial records. This is a long-term permanent part-time position, approximately 8?10 hours per week, with on-site work required twice per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and financial entries in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Manage expense tracking and accounts payable/receivable
- Prepare and support GST filings, remittances, and payroll processing
- Process payroll, maintain employee records, and prepare T4s and Records of Employment (ROEs)
- Prepare basic financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records
- Collaborate with management and external accountants as needed
- Perform other related administrative and accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with payroll processing, GST remittances, T4s, and ROEs
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

- Pay: CAD 25 ? CAD 30 per hour
- Expected hours: 8-10 hours per week
