Position:

As a Financial Accountant withing our Canada team, you will support all accounting and reporting functions on-site in Brampton, Ontario.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial statements
  • Supporting audits, reviews, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Assist in tax filings, including excise duty, HST, payroll tax, and income tax, in accordance with CRA requirements
  • Collaborating cross-functionally and externally to ensure accurate records are maintained

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have already completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, have a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, and be eager to take the next step in your career by pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

It is essential you have:

  • Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-orientated approach with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team goal
  • Drive to improve processes and strive for high quality
  • Strong communication skills

It would be highly beneficial if you also have a familiarity with accounting ERP systems.
