About the Role:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Vision Surgical Sales Consultant will drive growth within our Intraocular Lens (IOL) portfolio. This role blends high‑impact sales execution with hands‑on clinical support, ensuring customers achieve exceptional surgical outcomes using Clarion’s premium vision technologies. You will partner closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, surgical centers, and clinical teams, building strong relationships, delivering training, and identifying opportunities that elevate both patient care and customer business performance.

The successful applicant will:
- Plan and execute sales activities including customer visits, prospecting, presentations, and territory strategies.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
- Prospect and secure new accounts within the assigned territory.
- Provide clinical training and support to ensure successful outcomes with Clarion’s IOL products.
- Conduct customer training events, peer-to-peer sessions, staff training, and practice building initiatives.
- Represent Clarion at industry trade shows and professional events.
- Create ROI based business cases and communicate value effectively to clients.
- Develop leads through multiple channels and identify new sales initiatives.
- Plan and execute customer events within assigned budgets.
- Maintain accurate territory records, forecasts, and customer information.
- Manage territory expenses, sample accounts, and consignments responsibly.
- Complete all administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Maintain current knowledge of Clarion products, pricing, delivery policies, and internal processes.
- Collaborate with regional colleagues and share knowledge to support team success.
- Assist in the collection of outstanding customer invoices.
- Increase product and clinical knowledge through ongoing training and development.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of successful ophthalmic, optometric, or medical‑device sales experience.
- Experience with premium channel or vision‑related products is preferred.
- Clinical experience in intraocular lenses, diagnostic equipment for IOL selection, IOL calculation formulas, or operating room environments.
- Proven ability to communicate complex medical concepts and deliver effective presentations.
- Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and customer service skills.
- Ability to coach and train clinical teams.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to help customers grow revenue.
- Creative thinker with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional presence, positive attitude, and ability to work independently.
