About the role

Position Summary

The Shipping, Receiving, and Documentation Clerk is responsible for preparing components from inventory, ensuring full traceability and compliance documentation, and supporting the timely release of orders to the shipping department. This role plays a critical part in maintaining Apex Precision’s quality standards and meeting strict aerospace customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and prepare precision components from stock in accordance with customer orders, specifications, and work instructions
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, revisions, and traceability (lot/batch control where applicable)
  • Generate, review, and validate Certificates of Conformance (CoC) in compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100 requirements)
  • Ensure all documentation packages (CoC, material certs, test reports, etc.) are complete, accurate, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain full traceability between parts and associated documentation
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation, inventory, or order details in coordination with Quality and Operations teams
  • Package and stage completed orders with all required documentation for shipment
  • Transfer completed jobs to the shipping department and communicate any special customer requirements
  • Maintain organized records of certifications and order documentation for audit readiness
  • Support continuous improvement of documentation and order preparation processes
  • Support shipping and receiving department depending on the needs

Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, precision manufacturing, or regulated industry preferred
  • Familiarity with AS9100, quality systems, and traceability requirements is a strong asset
  • Experience handling Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
