About the role
RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES :
- Superviser et optimiser les opérations de production quotidiennes pour assurer l’efficacité, la qualité et la sécurité.
- Surveiller et gérer les intrants de matières premières provenants de la carrière afin de maintenir des normes de production uniformes. Collaborer étroitement avec le service des mines pour soutenir ses activités.
- Coordonner avec les services concernés pour préparer des plans de production quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels, et assurer des rapports exacts et opportuns.
- Élaborer et mettre à jour des instructions et des procédures de travail.
- Diriger et soutenir les initiatives de santé et de sécurité, y compris les programmes de prévention, les activités du Comité mixte de santé et de sécurité, les projets d’amélioration de la sécurité et la mise en œuvre des 5S.
- Coordonner avec l’équipe d’entretien la planification et l’exécution de projets et d’activités d’entretien axés sur les processus.
- Analyser les données de production et mettre en œuvre des stratégies d’amélioration continue alignées sur les objectifs d’excellence opérationnelle d’Omya.
- Assurer la conformité aux normes internes, aux exigences réglementaires et aux directives environnementales.
- Participer à des équipes interfonctionnelles pour soutenir les initiatives et les objectifs stratégiques à l’échelle de l’usine.
- Exécuter toutes les autres tâches assignées par la direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalauréat en génie mécanique, industriel ou minier.
- Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience pertinente dans un rôle d’ingénierie de production, de procédés ou d’ingénierie minière.
- Bonne compréhension des processus de production industrielle, des opérations de carrière et de la manutention des matières premières.
- Expérience démontrée en gestion de la santé et de la sécurité, y compris la participation du CMSST et la méthodologie 5S.
- Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes, en analyse et en organisation.
- Communication efficace et habiletés interpersonnelles.
- Doit être bilingue en français et en anglais.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor and manage quarry raw material inputs and plant feed to maintain consistent production standards. Strongly collaborate with the Mining department to support its activities.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Develop and update work instructions and procedures.
- Lead and support health and safety initiatives, including prevention programs, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, safety improvement projects, and 5S implementation.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to plan and execute process-oriented projects and maintenance activities.
- Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned with Omya’s operational excellence goals.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support plant-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Mining Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a production, process or mining engineering role.
- Strong understanding of industrial production processes, quarry operations, and raw material handling.
- Demonstrated experience in health and safety management, including JHSC participation and 5S methodology.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be bilingual in English and French.
