The location in Johnsonburg, (Pennsylvania, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Environmental Specialist. This job is full-time permanent.
The Senior Environmental Specialist is responsible for compliance preparation and reporting related to air, water, and waste at both the Johnsonburg Mill and the north and south chip plants. Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, some of the candidates duties will include but are not limited to the following.
- Continuous improvement of the environmental management system and processes
- Completing regulatory reporting including internal metrics, tracking, & record retention
- Sustaining air, water, and waste regulatory compliance including onsite wastewater treatment activity
- Field testing/sampling and other daily management system checks within the workplace
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree, environment or equivalent and fundamental working knowledge of regulatory programs including but not limited to: OnBase, eDMR, AST, TRI, Tier II, Title V, Hazardous waste, and LDAR to name a few. Ablility to demonstrate communications cross functionally within the organization, execute work both as a team and independently, and have an improvement minded work mentality with high level of technical experience. Ten years of work experience in an environment discipline and heavy or complex manufacturing or related industrial experience.
You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
