Volunteer: Salesforce Consultant & Instructor
About the role
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We are seeking a Salesforce Consultant or Trainer to help onboard our small nonprofit team and ensure we can use Salesforce effectively for general operations and donor engagement. What You'll Do: - Offer 2–3 virtual training sessions (1–2 hours each) to two staff members - Help guide us to customize our dashboards, reports, and workflows for nonprofit needs - Provide best practices for managing contacts, donations, and campaigns - Answer follow-up questions and provide basic training materials if needed
Ideal Volunteer: -Proficient with Salesforce for Nonprofits - Experience training users or onboarding small teams - Patient, clear communicator who enjoys empowering others with tools - Familiarity with fundraising or nonprofit operations a plus Your Impact: This project will directly empower GADA Canada to improve the lives of individuals impacted by genetic aortic disorders. Volunteers will play a key role in shaping the tools we need to expand our reach, improve our fundraising efforts, and ensure a future of better aortic care and awareness.
Tools for Success: We’ve outlined the need for 2–3 efficient virtual training sessions (1–2 hours each) focused on customizing Salesforce for our nonprofit’s operations, donor engagement, and reporting. Our team members are eager to learn and will be ready to engage with the instructor around their schedule. The skills gained through these sessions will help our team build a more efficient system for tracking donations, managing contacts, and running campaigns, allowing us to better serve our mission. Time Commitment: Estimated 6–10 hours over 3–4 weeks (flexible scheduling)

About Genetic Aortic Disorders Association (GADA) Canada
GADA Canada is dedicated to saving lives and enabling a promising future for individuals living with Marfan syndrome and other genetic aortic disorders through education, awareness, support and research.
To succeed in these endeavours GADA is focusing on:

Educating and supporting aortic clinics and those with genetic aortic disorders (GADs), 
- 
Advocating genetic testing for those with GADs to save lives and, 
- 
Enrolling Canadians with GADs into the MAC patient registry. Montalcino Aortic Consortium (MAC) is an international research collaborative of multidisciplinary clinicians collecting patient data to generate gene- and variant-specific risk models for personalized medicine to improve outcomes of individuals with genetic aortic disease.
