Licensed Millwright - Ride Mechanical - Full Time/Permanent

Overview:
$43.50 - $47 / hour Candidates must have Millwright Licence (433A) or Heavy Equipment Mechanic (421A) Licence. Rates vary based on certifications and experience. This is a year-round, full-time career opportunity with benefits in the Canada's Wonderland Ride Maintenance Department.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a solid track record working as a Millwright/mechanic.
SCOPE OF POSITION: The successful candidates will have proven skills with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics and pneumatics and will have the ability to problem solve and work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Install new equipment
- Rebuild and or repair equipment as specified
- Maintain all required service records and logs
- Make recommendations for improvements, modification, upgrades and report to Foreman/Supervisor on a timely basis
- Assist with major overhauls, modifications and alterations as required
- Ensure the safe operation of each work area and each work project.
- Assist with general cleaning, inspection and reassemble equipment as needed
- Responsible for assisting with daily preventative maintenance program
Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical trades
- Post Secondary education in a mechanical trade profession
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
- Past experience in a diverse industrial environment required
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Exposure to welding and machining equipment an asset
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required
- Proven abilities to problem solve, trouble shoot and work with deadlines
- Ownership of tools and safety boots a must
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Required to meet the physical demands of the job including; weights of up to 23kg, heights of 106m, frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling and ability to work with ladders
