What can you expect from this position?

Reporting to the Manager, Central Utilities and Cogeneration, this position will provide support to the Project Managers in the coordination for the planning, design, and construction of assigned building, civil and airside projects. The incumbent will manage the Architect & Engineering input into all delivery stages including preplanning, commissioning and evaluation; all with an emphasis on Engineering excellence and protection of the public.

As Capital Restoration & Asset Management Co-Op, you will:

  • Support the Asset Management program through developing asset hierarchy as per ISO14224 and ISO55000.
  • Collaborate with the development of job plans and task lists for key assets in the Central Utilities and Cogeneration plants using Failure Modes and Effect Analysis and Plant Maintenance Optimization strategies.
  • Provide reports for asset utilization, cooling and heating loads during different demand periods which will support asset optimization.
  • Support in the tendering of Request for Proposals (RFP) and support the review and analysis of respondents.
  • Support the roll out of Maximo CMMS to the GTAA and Contractors.
  • Work with various digital data sources to create a data repository for artificial intelligence programs.
  • Lead minor (Mentored) OPEX projects for buried infrastructure around the GTAA campus.
  • Support the Capital projects scheduled for the year.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • Completed two years of an Engineering program at an accredited post secondary institution.
  • The ability to take initiative and effectively collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
