About the role
Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Care (DOC) the Site Scheduler plays a pivotal role in managing scheduling for both Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place. This role primarily involves the coordination of schedules for LPNs and HCAs under the AUPE collective agreement at both Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place. Additionally, the scheduler must demonstrate flexibility and proficiency as the organization transitions to a computerized scheduling system.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Efficiently manage and coordinate staff scheduling for AUPE LPNs and HCAs at Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place.

Maintain staffing levels during position vacancies, vacations, sick calls, cancellations and other leaves.

Collect and maintain accurate staff availability records

Update and maintain the Care Services Schedules

Be knowledgeable in the Collective Agreement in her daily duties.

Maintain phone lists.

Prepare and post the Care Calendar, Team Assignments and staff schedules as per collective agreement timelines

Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Proactively anticipate staffing requirements based on growth estimates and promptly inform management for further attention

Uphold scheduling standards as per the AUPE collective agreement

Undertake clerical duties, data input, and maintain filing systems for schedules
-
Performs other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS: 2years or more of experience with scheduling, a certified HCA, or equivalent.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.
- High Attention to detail
- Strong Organizational skills
- Skills in Microsoft Office
- Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
- Appropriately dressed
- Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
- Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
