YOUR IMPACT:
As part of the Chief Digital Office (CDO) organization, the Senior Manager, FinOps will play a critical role in driving financial accountability and efficiency across OpenText’s cloud operations. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Business Processes, this strategic position will lead cloud financial governance, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our cloud investments deliver maximum value.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

  1. Cloud Financial Governance

  • Lead technical right-sizing, resource consolidation, and architecture redesign to optimize cloud spend.
  • Oversee the CDO Cost Approval Process, ensuring all cloud expenditures are traceable and aligned with strategic goals.
  1. Vendor and Contract Management

  • Manage relationships with cloud providers, including contract negotiations, securing discounts, and leveraging credits in partnership with the CDO and sourcing teams.
  • Ensure selected services align with enterprise technical strategy and FinOps best practices.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between Business Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and Finance to ensure cohesive execution of FinOps strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication to align budgets, forecasts, and financial objectives.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop financial forecasts and risk assessments to support strategic planning.
  1. Leadership and Strategy

  • Mentor FinOps team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and financial technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Networking or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., FinOps Foundations Certifications)
  • At least 5-10 years of experience with enterprise cloud platforms in an engineering/operational/financial management role
  • Experience with public cloud cost management and optimization on AWS or GCP or Azure
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, FinOps methodologies, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong data analysis and financial modelling skills
  • A strong desire to understand how technical cloud infrastructure options impact costs.
