Job Title: Front Desk Supervisor
Location: Squamish, BC
Schedule: Rotating – 4 days on, 3 days off, then 3 days on, 4 days off (average 42 hours/week)
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22.50/hour
Benefits: Extended health & dental after 6 months of employment
Position Summary
We are seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Front Desk Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the front desk of a residential property in Squamish. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, who thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys leading a small guest services team. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure, while supporting and supervising 1–2 front desk team members.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services & Hospitality Leadership
- Greet guests warmly, manage check-ins/outs, and respond promptly to inquiries and requests
- Set the tone for exceptional service by modeling professionalism and attentiveness
- Handle guest complaints or escalations with discretion, empathy, and appropriate resolution
- Ensure the lobby and reception areas are welcoming, clean, and well-organized at all times
Team Supervision
- Oversee a small team of 1–2 front desk agents or concierge staff during shifts
- Assign daily duties, provide support, and ensure consistent service standards are maintained
- Deliver on-the-job coaching and assist in onboarding new front desk personnel
- Monitor shift activities and ensure all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently
Operations & Communication
- Coordinate with maintenance and management to ensure seamless service
- Maintain daily reports, shift logs, and incident documentation
- Liaise with external service providers and internal departments for requests or facility needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience in a hotel, resort, or customer service environment
- Strong hospitality mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in conflict resolution
- Familiarity with front desk systems, email, Microsoft Word, and mobile tools
- Ability to climb stairs, and remain on your feet during long shifts
- Availability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Asset: Valid BC Security License or willingness to obtain within 3 months
