The Opportunity

Are you someone who loves uncovering insights hidden in data? We’re looking for an Analyst, Business Analysis to join our Finance team within Insurance Services. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams across AMA to turn complex information into meaningful insights that help guide sound business decisions. You’ll analyze trends, build dashboards, and bring clarity to big questions — all while helping us make smarter, data-driven choices that serve our members better.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide data-driven support to guide action-oriented business decisions across AMA.
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to identify key trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and manage high-quality dashboards and reporting solutions that serve as a single source of truth.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and IT teams to gather, validate, and refine business requirements.
  • Present findings and insights to leadership teams in clear, compelling ways.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of critical data.
  • Support the rollout of new business analytics tools and processes.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, business analysis, or a related technical role.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL (including complex query writing).
  • Experience developing and managing BI solutions or dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Strong data visualization and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Familiarity with data management languages (Python, R) and experience in the insurance industry are strong assets.

While most often known for our roadside assistance program, we also offer travel, registries and insurance services, Alberta’s largest driver education school, a member rewards program and member events in our communities.
