The Public Service Commission (PSC) is the central human resource agency for the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS). The Opportunity

We are seeking a proven leader who is passionate about diversity and inclusion to join a team of dedicated human resource professionals as the Director - Diversity and Inclusion. This role reports to the Executive Director, Employee Wellbeing and Inclusion, and will be responsible for:
- The development and implementation of the Government of Saskatchewan’s diversity and inclusion strategies.
- Advancing diversity and inclusion goals and objectives within the Saskatchewan Public Service by using your deep expertise, collaborating with other areas of the PSC and GOS, seeking input, and listening to the needs of clients.
- Providing recommendations and leadership in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion programming, policies, practices, and processes.
- Building an effective team and contributing to an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
Ideal Candidate
For this senior advisor and people leader role, we are seeking candidates who:
- Are known to be a highly effective collaborator with demonstrated experience in effectively and successfully building relationships with others.
- Have expertise and experience in diversity and inclusion strategies and programming, and/or have experience in strategy development and managing corporate-level initiatives in the public sector.
- Have experience developing strategies with knowledge of change management.
- Have experience leading difficult and sensitive conversations respectfully; and
- Are a proven high performer.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required would be obtained through a post-secondary learning specializing in human resource management, diversity and inclusion, Sociology, Indigenous Studies, or a relevant field of study with demonstrated progressive work experience in the areas listed above. Ideally, this experience will have been gained by working with large, complex organizations. Individuals with a comparable combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
