About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service including inventory, non-inventory goods and services. Assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies.
A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Two (2) year post-secondary program in Business or equivalent required
- SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
- Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to learn new computer programming
- Occasional travel to other sites may be required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent Full-time (100%) position, 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$25.93 - $30.06 Hourly
