SMS Equipment is looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician residing in the Timmins area. If you're a journeyperson technician who takes pride in your work, solves problems with confidence, and thrives in a fast-paced environment—we want to hear from you.
Wage: $54.48 + premiums
Location: Timmins, ON
Shift: 7x7 or 14x14

Your Role
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on construction equipment
- Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
- Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
- Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role
What You Bring
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with Komatsu equipment is an asset
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Self-motivated and safety-focused with experience working independently in field conditions

- Ticket Verification
- 5 Year Commercial Drivers Abstract
