The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Communications & Stewardship, the Donor Experience Officer is a champion of gratitude, supporting the implementation of the Foundation’s donor stewardship, recognition and overall engagement portfolio, with a focus on donor impact reporting and donor recognition. The Officer works collaboratively across all Foundation teams to support meaningful recognition and stewardship, enhance the donor experience and deepen donor engagement with our ever-growing community of supporters

Core Responsibilities- Supports the Foundation’s donor journey strategy across donor segments, including Annual, Monthly, Event and Major Gifts Project manages the overall process for stewardship reporting, from development to delivery; and assists with the content development of donor impact reports at the- Maintains accurate, centralized records of stewardship plans and adheres to calendar to ensure that commitments are met on time

  • Project manages updates and production of new physical and digital recognition systems, including donor listings, plaques and signage

  • Collaborates with events team to execute donor recognition & engagement events

  • Develops strong collaborative relationships with hospital staff to support the creation of donor impact reports Accountabilities And Responsibilities, Including But Not Limited To

  • Drives project management of donor impact reporting; triggering development, creating briefs, tracking project timelines, content development, through to production and delivery

  • Supports updates and maintenance of donor recognition systems including preparing donor listings, overseeing updates to website & donor walls, and coordinating production and installation of donor recognition plaques and signage

  • Monitors implementation of stewardship & recognition deliverables

  • Acts as a lead support of thank you activities, including donor thank you letters, emails and calls

  • Thinks creatively to bring meaningful opportunities to deepen donor engagement at all levels

  • Provides a high level of customer service to donors, volunteers, board members, and the public

  • Liaise and build strong relationships with relevant suppliers and vendors

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification & Skills

  • University degree and a minimum 3-4 years experience working in donor relations, donor operations or stewardship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly for donor communications
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient working with Blackbaud CRM or other related fundraising databases
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally, with team members at all levels, and ability to project manage
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Fundraising experience in either an academic or healthcare setting is an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the mission, vision and values of the Foundation

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000.
