Main Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products Operate machine tools such as: Horizontal boring mill, conventional type mill, lathes, surface grinder, radial drill and portable align boring equipment Operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening, and bending machines Work in a safe and effective manner Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Extensive manual machining experience required Must be well experienced on Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Vertical/Horizon Boring Mills, Radial Arm Drills and drill press Must be familiar with pumps, Motors and Valves CNC experience, Machinist/Millwright, dual ticketed would be an asset
Required Certifications
Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta) H2S Alive Fall Protection Confined Space WHMIS 2015 One of the following Valid Safety Tickets; CSO,BSO or CSTS-09
WORKING CONDITIONS
7&7 (Shift Cycle is subject to change) Day shift Charter flights to/from Edmonton or Calgary to/from Site Camp accommodations Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
