- You’ll drive roadmap, implementation, and ongoing optimization for payment acceptance, risk, cost, and financial accuracy—powering use cases from consumer bookings to corporate retreats and partner payouts
- Own the payments & finops roadmap: acceptance, refunds, disputes/chargebacks, payouts, taxes/fees, and financial data integrity
- Partner with Finance on GL mapping, automated reconciliation to settlements, revenue recognition, month-end close, and audit trails
- Improve acceptance & CX: raise auth rates, reduce false declines, optimize retry/cascade logic, and add wallet/payment methods where impactful
- Reduce cost & risk: monitor processor and network fees; implement risk/fraud controls and dispute workflows; track chargeback rate and recovery
- Build payouts for partners/suppliers with compliant onboarding (KYC), transparent statements, and predictable funding timelines
- Support B2B flows (e.g., Wander Teams/retreats): invoices, deposits, staged payments, and AR automation
- Instrument the numbers: define and monitor KPIs—auth/acceptance rate, cost per txn, refund SLA, chargeback rate & win-rate, reconciliation completion time, revenue leakage
- Ship with Engineering & Data: crisp specs, PRD/QA/readiness, analytics you trust, and post-launch iteration
- Success looks like:
- ↑ Authorization/acceptance rate; ↓ cost per transaction and false declines
- T-0/T-1 reconciliation with automated break detection and clear ownership
- <X% chargeback rate with rising win-rate and faster cycle times
- Reliable, transparent payouts and Finance-ready reporting with fewer manual touches
