About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Class 3A Propane Driver on a temporary, 6-month basis in Melfort, SK offering $23.95 – 30.40 an hour, depending on experience.

Are you looking for employment in the fall? Our propane team is hiring Class 3A drivers on a 6-month term starting in mid-September to help them through busy season. We offer all the required training and work gear, the possibility of extension, and a work area that will have you home every night.

What you’ll do:

  • Present a positive image in customer service while making propane deliveries to various local customers, including oil field sites.
  • Conduct daily pre-and post-trip inspections, track hours, and report issues using an electronic log system.
  • Maintain company vehicles, ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out and minor repairs are conducted.
  • Perform work with a high standard of safety in all operations, ensuring compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work with other drivers and service technicians, and will report to the Supervisor, Propane Operations on a team that strives to cultivate a culture of customer service, safety, and work life balance.

The Customers: You will deliver propane to customers in agricultural, commercial, and domestic markets while displaying a high-level of customer-focus, professionalism, and care.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in hauling and deliveries and:

  • Have 1+ years of professional driving experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a Class 3A or Class 1A license and a grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Are a self-starter who works well independently with strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Are familiar with computers and/or electronic log systems.
  • Are comfortable with physically demanding work such as pulling heavy hose and other equipment with a minimum weight of 50lbs.
