About the role

Mandate

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse activities by ensuring accurate and timely order processing. Key duties include, processing inbound receipts, Processing returns, releasing outbound orders in the system, assigning tasks based on daily priorities, and conducting regular inventory checks. The role also involves picking and packing orders, entering data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), labeling shipments, and assembling skids.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory, orders, and shipment data using WMS and handheld RF scanning equipment
  • Assign tasks to team members based on daily priorities and operational needs to ensure efficient workflow
  • Communicate with team members, drivers, and stakeholders to support smooth operations
  • Generate reports on inventory, order status, and operational performance
  • Perform physical and cycle inventory counts; investigate discrepancies using RF scanners and desktop then escalate issues as required
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing goods, verifying units of measure (UOM) and volumetrics
  • Monitor and manage warehouse locations to ensure data accuracy within WMS
  • Identify, report, and resolve damaged, missing, or misplaced inventory in accordance with company procedures
  • Coordinate inventory control processes, including cycle counts, audits, discrepancy resolution, and support for year-end audits

Requirements

  • Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing is an asset
  • MS office suite and good computer skills
  • Valid Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license, may require additional certification (fall arrest, clamp, cherry picker etc.)
  • Hazmat certification is an asset
  • High school diploma or equivalent
