Job Summary:
This position builds a next generation credit risk data and analytics platform to support Commercial and Wholesale Credit risk oversight reporting, risk analytics and insight activities, with focus on the technology infrastructure, innovation and data governance. The position also builds data solutions aimed at improving internal analytics and reporting processes by strengthening data acquisition, data governance and automation capabilities to enable faster and deeper management insight.
What will you do?
- Build and maintain the wholesale credit risk platform infrastructure, utilizing modern open-source computing technologies.
- Work closely with credit risk teams to build and maintain a flexible and reusable data architecture.
- Build data solutions to support internal credit reporting and analytics needs, utilizing modern open-source computing technologies.
- Build solutions to implement data governance requirements, utilizing a flexible and reusable data quality framework.
- Proactively seek out, identify and take action to address process inefficiencies. Act on these opportunities based on priority and impact.

You have proven experience successfully implementing data solutions that address stakeholder needs and delivering business value. You excel at decomposing problems and formulating solutions; you follow through with building and deploying the solutions utilizing modern open-source computing technologies and you require minimal supervision doing so as you proactively seek understanding, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver accordingly.

Must-have
- Proven experience as a Business & Data Analyst (in a Business line, Risk and/or Finance function).
- Analysis experience with wholesale and commercial credit products, preferably in wholesale and commercial credit risk.
- Excellent SQL skills for querying data sets; experience with relational data sets stored in big data environments.
- Data modelling experience, preferably in the wholesale and commercial credit domain.
- Independent Work: skills to understand assigned work and independently execute to completion with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Python and Panda solution development.
- Project Discipline: ability to execute assigned work, forecast roadblocks and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Problem Solving: creative thinking to support the development of creative solutions.
- Be strategic: develop broad-based and reusable solutions.
- Communication: exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills to explain complex concepts, influence and build consensus.
- Networking: ability to build and utilize internal networks to progress initiative work.
- Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline or other professional related qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Business & Data Analyst.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data ingestion, data lakes and building data pipelines within a cloud environment.
- Experience with Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Yarn, MapReduce, Hive).
- Experience with open-source technologies (Linux, GitHub, Airflow, Jupyter).
- Experience using AI models (GenAI, LLM, GitHub Co-Pilot).
