Global Engagement Manager
About the role
Job Description: Job Purpose: The Global Engagement Manager supports The Community Solution Education System’s mission of preparing innovative, engaged, purposeful agents of change who serve our global community. Responsibilities include coordination, promotion and facilitation of a diverse range of recruitment strategies and engagement initiatives to drive international student enrollments. The Global Engagement Manager ensures prospective international students’ progress smoothly through the recruitment process, from lead generation to inquiry management and application completion, including generating leads, participating in conversion activities, working with recruitment partners, and other channels to achieve international student goals across System colleges and universities.
The ideal candidate must be located in or near Toronto, Ontario, an authorized to work in Canada. As direct supervisor, the Director of Partnership Development will provide daily direction and performance feedback. Payroll and HR functions will be managed by an external employer of record. The position focuses on the System's priority regions, with frequent travel, nationally and occasionally globally, up to 50% annually. Work schedule may be adjusted to accommodate event participation and travel.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implement The Community Solution Education System's international recruitment and engagement strategies, focusing on key priority regions.
- Recruit prospective undergraduate and graduate international students to the System colleges and universities via multi-channel local, national, and international recruitment and engagement efforts, including but not limited to hosting or attending fairs, info sessions, webinars, alumni events and student yield events virtually and in-person.
- Achieve international recruitment goals by ensuring effective student conversions through the admissions funnel, from lead generation, inquiry follow-up, and assisting colleagues with document collection to complete student applications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agents, ensuring effective performance and compliance with institutional and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with Marketing teams to create targeted recruitment materials and campaigns for international audiences.
- Deliver market insights and accurate enrollment forecasts through consistent, specific, and detailed reports to key stakeholders.
- Assist Director(s) with partnership building, execution, and sustainability of MOUs across regions.
- Identify opportunities to increase international student presence through international recruitment and engagement activities and external support organizations.
- Work with the Global Engagement team to achieve international student recruitment goals and overall international strategy across the System.
- Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of international student activities in the CRM system, including collecting, entering, tracking, and reporting of data.
- Examine current international admissions, recruitment and engagement processes, focusing on process improvements and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Ensure complete and accurate reporting of all international activities in the CRM system.
- Communicate with college admissions teams regarding student pre-departure briefings and orientations.
- Serve as international liaison to the System’s international student organizations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge And Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the student recruitment landscape as it pertains to The Community Solution Education System member college academic programs.
- Knowledge of immigration rules and regulations pertaining to college admissions policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM system.
- Proficiency with social media platforms; website editing a plus.
- Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately.
- Must be a self-starter, with an entrepreneurial disposition; must demonstrate an elevated level of emotional intelligence and customer service within multi-cultural environments.
- Results-oriented; intrinsically driven to succeed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations to create positive relationships with external constituents.
- Sufficient analytical skills to assess recruitment efforts and help develop innovative student recruitment and engagement programs.
- Consistently demonstrate cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
- Ability to work effectively with potential students and agents in the promotion of System programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to deliver presentations/trainings effectively communicate in oral and written form, and tailor the messages to various audiences.
- Ability to exercise discretion/independent judgment and act upon decisions within the scope of delegated authority.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate domestic/international time zones and travel.
- Understanding of the Canadian postsecondary education system a strong asset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- TEFL or TESOL certification a plus.
Experience:
- Three or more years of direct experience working with international education programs, international student services and/or higher education administration within a multi-cultural environment.
- Two or more years of direct experience successfully working with international agents.
Working Conditions:
- This position is a full-time remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, working 40-44 hours/week.
- Travel may occur during evenings, weekends, and outside of typical business hours, requiring flexibility in adjusting work hours to accommodate travel.
Compensation & Benefits This opportunity is budgeted at $48,000- 52,000 base compensation.
