About the position The organization’s enterprise storage services serve as a core component of the Bank’s technology infrastructure, enabling the secure storage, protection, and availability of enterprise data. These services are essential not only for enabling seamless, reliable, and secure access to applications, systems, and data, but also for supporting operational resilience, safeguarding critical information assets, and ensuring the continuity of key business services.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Support Specialist to support and evolve the Bank’s enterprise storage and data protection platforms. You will play a key role in maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable storage services that support critical financial and operational systems.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Enterprise Storage and Database Services, you will contribute to a worldclass organization that pairs strong engineering practices with automation, standardization, and modern delivery approaches.
What you will do As a Senior Storage Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and advancing the Bank’s enterprise storage platforms that underpin critical technology services across the organization. This role focuses on maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable storage environments while contributing to the ongoing modernization of infrastructure through automation, standardization, and best practices. By ensuring the integrity, protection, and accessibility of enterprise data, the position plays an essential role in enabling reliable technology services and supporting the Bank’s operational resilience.
More specifically, you will:
- Provide operational support for enterprise storage, backup, and archival platforms in a large-scale production environment including on-premises, hybrid and cloud.
- Diagnose and resolve complex storage, backup, and replication issues, ensuring minimal disruption to critical systems and services
- Administer and maintain enterprise storage SAN and NAS environment, including file-level storage and block-level storage, backup, archival services, and data replication across data centres.
- Support the evolution of the storage environment from traditional on-premises infrastructure toward hybrid and cloud-based architectures, including the integration of cloud storage services and data protection solutions.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of storage services supporting hybrid infrastructure and modern data platforms.
- Develop and maintain automation and configuration management solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, and Python to standardize storage operations, improve deployment consistency, and reduce operational overhead.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives, platform upgrades, and technology integrations.
- Support data protection capabilities, including backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Contribute to disaster recovery exercises and business continuity activities to ensure storage services meet resilience and recovery objectives.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation to strengthen team capabilities.
Note- The nature of this work will require additional paid on-call as well as paid overtime. The Bank offers flexible work hours to accommodate.
What you need to succeed You are self-motivated and independent, capable of finding solutions that challenge the status quo. You are also a great team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate & coach colleagues within the team and ITS.
You bring an experience:
- Administering and supporting enterprise storage platforms, such as NetApp ONTAP, NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), or similar enterprise storage technologies.
- Supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions, such as Commvault and Azure NetApp Files (ANF), including backup, restore, and data protection operations.
- Managing file storage services, archival solutions, and data lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
- Supporting data replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities across multiple data centres and cloud, requiring high availability and operational resilience.
- Supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including the integration of on-premises storage platforms with cloud-based storage solutions.
- Developing automation and infrastructure configuration workflows using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting and automation tools.
Nice-to-have
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud storage architectures and the migration of storage workloads from on-premises platforms to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) technologies and related protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
- Experience with Cisco SAN switches
- Experience with Hitachi storage platforms, such as Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) or Unified Storage (HUS).
- Experience supporting cloud-based storage or archival services in public cloud environments.
- Experience with disaster recovery testing and business continuity exercises.
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices related to storage, backup, and data protection, including data integrity and ransomware protection.
Your education and experience Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the proficiencies and skills for the role. We are ideally seeking candidates with 6+ years of relevant experience.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
