We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Developer with 2-4 years of experience in data integration, database development, and system synchronization. This role is perfect for professionals who excel at connecting disparate systems and ensuring seamless data flow across the organization. The Data Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, sync servers, and integration solutions that enable reliable information exchange between platforms. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring effective collaboration with software developers, DevOps, and analytics teams.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Design and Implement Data Integration Solutions: Create robust solutions to synchronize data between multiple systems, including internal platforms, third-party APIs, and legacy databases.
- Develop and Maintain Sync Server: Write SQL queries, implement API integrations, and develop transformation logic to ensure accurate and timely data flow across platforms.
- Architectural Planning: Contribute to data strategy planning as part of core software solution rewrites, helping define data modeling, storage, and access patterns.
- Data Warehouse Development: Design, build, and optimize data warehouse structures to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Analytics Data Preparation: Transform and prepare data for analytics teams, ensuring it's structured appropriately for business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Software Teams: Work cross-functionally to recommend, configure, and maintain data warehouses and/or data lakes that support reporting, analytics, and AI readiness.
- Support AI Initiatives: Prepare, structure, and deliver clean, consistent datasets suitable for training and inference in machine learning workflows.
- Code Development: Write and maintain clean, testable, and efficient code for data access, transformation, and delivery using SQL, Python, and RESTful APIs.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot: Ensure reliability, data integrity, and performance across syncing systems and storage platforms through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for data models, system behaviors, sync logic, and workflows to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
- Best Practices Advocacy: Champion data handling best practices, including versioning, lineage, security, and compliance standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Math, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data development, system integration, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one major database platform (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or custom solutions).
- Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data processing tasks.
- Experience with API integration and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborative workflows.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
