Assignment: Elementary Generalist (Gr 4)
Contract Type: Full-Time - temporary

Specific Position Duties
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to inclusive education, coordinating supports for diverse learners through effective planning and a collaborative, school-wide approach to student success
- The ability to use assessment for learning and student data to guide instruction, with knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices such as UFLI, Heggerty, and the Science of Reading considered an asset
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, contributing to strong home–school partnerships and active involvement in school and community life.
- A commitment to fostering engaging, developmentally responsive learning environments that support student growth academically, socially, and emotionally
Qualifications and General Duties
The successful candidate will possess:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

A student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing student learning in a safe and caring environment

Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment practices

Proficiency with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology to support communication, collaboration, and student learning

The ability to foster positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging for students

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team

A demonstrated commitment to professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
