The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Manager and Realty Specialist this role is responsible for day to day organizing of files, maintaining templates and forms, review of draft agreements to maintain consistency and completing
correspondence to external agencies.
As the Coordinator, Realty Services, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Review and interpret Real Estate Agreements and clauses, this position will require an understanding of all clauses including but not limited to Agreements of Purchase and Sale, Easements, Permission to Enter Agreements, Licenses, Leases including tracking items for closing.
- Review title information to identify any important details and ensure accurate legal description captured in Real Estate Agreements.
- Review Council Reports and documents related to the Expropriation Process and track timelines as necessary.
- Assist with tracking term and expiry dates for various agreements.
- Update Project and Workload Lists to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare correspondence to owners/lawyers/external consultants, internal staff for Real Estate Agreement and Projects.
- Circulate Real Estate Agreements to Town Staff for execution in accordance with the Town’s authorization by-laws.
- Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned
The Ideal Candidate We are seeking an experienced professional with a post-secondary diploma in law, real estate or closely related field. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in real estate, including expropriations. Experience working within a Public Authority/Municipality or Regional level of government is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to use strong judgement and tact when making decisions involving multiple routine tasks, affecting department level. We are seeking an individual with organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet short timelines specialized attention to detail to avoid errors and ability to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate for Coordinator, Realty Services will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).
This position offers a salary range of $78,683.40 to $98,354.25 plus a competitive benefit package.
