About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accessibility of our cutting-edge design system, which is built on Angular and React frameworks. Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Functionality Testing: Performing comprehensive functionality testing of Angular and React-based design system components. Coordinate with multiple teams for testing activities within a project
- Test Planning & Documentation: Developing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. You will be responsible for meticulously documenting test results, identifying defects, and providing clear, actionable feedback to the development team. Monitor and report on test coverage, defect metrics, and overall application quality.
- Accessibility Testing: Ensuring adherence to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards. This involves conducting thorough accessibility testing, including color contrast analysis, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain test automation suite, identifying opportunities for and implementing test automation solutions to improve efficiency and coverage. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins, is essential for integrating automated tests into our continuous integration and delivery processes. Maintenance of Automation framework and repository Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably in a financial services or enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in testing web applications built with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular and/or React.
- Demonstrable ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines and associated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
- Proficiency in one of the programming languages such as Java, Python, VB Script or JavaScript - Proficient Experience with tools such as JIRA, Zephyr
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team. Desired Skills & Experience (Bonus)
- Experience with mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android native applications).
- Familiarity with design systems concepts and their implementation.
- Experience with performance testing or security testing.
