Adult Education Coordinator
About the role
GITWANGAK ADULT EDUCATION COORDINATOR
The Adult Education Coordinator will manage the Adult Education. The Adult Education Coordinator will ensure that post-secondary and other training courses are delivered in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Gitwangak Education Society, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), and other funding agencies. The Adult Education Coordinator will also work as part of a team in the coordination of education activities between other GES education departments.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in education administration or related field;
Experience in post-secondary program delivery;
Experience working with student records and human resources;
Experience with budget development and management;
RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
· Coordinate the Adult Education Program;
· Prepare an annual budget, monitor expenditures, and write funding reports;
· Be knowledgeable about government programs, legislation, and policies that affect Gitwangak Band students;
· Write proposals to access funding for Gitwangak band members from a variety of sources which may include summer student employment, community programs, summer camps, and post-secondary programs;
· Write program reports required by funding organizations in a timely manner;
· Advocate for all Gitwangak Band students and ensure that policy implementation is fair and equitable for all students;
· Assist with planning and coordinating activities such as the Career Fair and the graduation celebration;
· Identify and act on funding opportunities such as FNESC, TriCorp
· Arrange and execute community education opportunities such as the Building Service Worker Level 1 & 2, PAL, and other trades opportunities.
Deadline to apply: JULY 31, 2026
Wage: $30 per hour based on experience
Start Date: August 24, 2026
