Job Description Role Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our agile, multidisciplinary squads delivering secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions. This mid-level role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a passion for cloud-native technologies, automation, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with architects, developers, and operations to build and support cloud infrastructure across Azure and hybrid environments. Your contributions will help accelerate delivery, improve reliability, and ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with squad members to design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and automation tools
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable delivery of cloud services
- Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure availability and performance
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–6 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure; exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Working knowledge of Linux/Windows systems, networking, and security fundamentals
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Preferred Skills
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK, DataDog, Splunk)
- Understanding of identity and access management (e.g., Keycloak, OAuth2, ADFS)
- Exposure to agile delivery models and DevOps practices
