The primary role of the BIM Coordinator is to ensure the effective management and coordination of digital models for large-scale projects across various sectors such as institutional, commercial, cultural, and residential.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the main BIM contact on complex, large-scale projects (institutional, commercial, cultural, and residential).
- Create and update BIM models for all disciplines using Revit Hybrid and 3D, as well as platforms such as BIM360.
- Perform technical design and modeling, resolving clash detections for their own discipline and overseeing resolution across all disciplines.
- Use digital tools (Revit, BIM360, BIMTrack) effectively with a high level of autonomy.
- Provide technical support to modelers in their discipline and respond to their inquiries.
- Coordinate tasks between disciplines, both internally and externally.
- Regularly update practices in line with BIM developments.
- Understand and follow the BIM Management Plan (BMP) in collaboration with the project BIM Manager.
- Manage the preparation of project deliverables, including defining scales, view strategies, equipment identification, and plan schedules.
- Analyze the constructability of services, anticipate and identify potential issues for correction, and perform other related tasks, including administrative duties.
Your Profile
- College diploma (DEC)
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Fluency in French (oral and written), with functional English skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, intermediate Excel, Autodesk Revit, BIM360, BIMTrack, Navisworks, Revizto
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Security clearance, availability outside regular working hours
- Class 5 driver’s license
