Job Description
The Delivery Driver is a motivated, organized, and safety-conscious individual responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of materials, equipment, and products to and from customer locations and job sites. This role also supports warehouse operations and job site cleanup activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries, material pickups, and job site cleanups. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Perform physically demanding work for extended periods while following safe lifting and material-handling practices. Load, unload, transport, and deliver materials, equipment, and products to customer locations and job sites. Move materials using dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts (where certified), and other material-handling equipment. Support warehouse operations by picking and staging materials for deliveries, assisting with inventory management, performing warehouse cleanups, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Assist with job site cleanup, debris removal, and the return of reusable materials and equipment to the warehouse. Resolve delivery issues, such as delays, incorrect orders, or customer inquiries, in a professional and timely manner. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable traffic laws to ensure compliance. Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional attitude and responding courteously to customer requests and concerns. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, project managers, and field crews regarding delivery schedules and site requirements.
Qualifications
Valid G driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
Able to work independently and within strict timelines Great organizational skills Physical demands including lifting and carrying various weights throughout the day Able to communicate via email, phone and in person with internal and external customers Motivated to learn and develop Must be capable of safely ascending and descending ladders while performing assigned duties.
