About The Role Are you a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and a deep understanding of the High Net Worth (HNW) landscape?

As the Director, Private Banking Service & Operations, you will be a cornerstone of the Private Banking & Wealth Planning leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you will bridge the gap between visionary strategy and flawless execution. You aren't just managing processes; you are the architect of a premium client experience, ensuring that our Private Banking operations are as sophisticated and seamless as the clients we serve.

Accountabilities

  • Strategic Architect & Execution Lead:You will lead the implementation and refinement of approved strategic priorities for the Private Banking team. By providing data- driven insights and cross-enterprise recommendations, you will turn high-level strategy into operational reality.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Design: You will own the core Private Banking engine. From managing business requirements to overseeing fee and pricing strategies, you ensure our frameworks and control systems provide optimal effectiveness and integrity.
  • Guardian of Policy & Compliance: In a complex regulatory environment, you will establish and maintain robust policies. You’ll ensure that while we innovate and grow, we remain steadfast in our adherence to financial legislation and internal risk frameworks.
  • Driving Business Results & Client Experience: Shared accountability for financial results means you have a seat at the table in driving revenue and growth. You will balance aggressive business goals with prudent risk management and an uncompromising commitment to the client experience.
  • People & Organizational Leadership: You will design and lead an organization built for success. From onboarding and practice management to performance coaching, you will mentor a team of service and advisory professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
  • The Ultimate Connector: You are the primary link between Private Banking and the broader ATB operational groups. As a subject matter expert in credit and deposit pricing, you will collaborate across the enterprise to improve efficiency and service delivery across all regions.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industry including leadership experience in sales, service and operations within a branch environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a detailed understanding of the complexities of the High Net Worth Private Banking environment, offer, and industry.
  • University degree in business administration or finance; Relevant advanced education such as MBA and/or CFP
  • Strong operational technical knowledge in the financial services banking industry
  • Solid understanding across core business disciplines (finance, business planning, marketing, sales, operations, technology), with insight into business drivers, trends, and changes affecting the industry.
  • Strong analytical and exceptional critical thinking skills, coupled with an accountability mindset.
  • Proven leadership capability, including the ability to effectively lead and implement change and manage effectively indirect reporting relationships
  • Ability to influence and build strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders, and to establish and leverage communication across all Areas of Expertise, Strategic Support Units, and external vendors.
  • Proven communication and facilitation skills with the ability to develop consensus and influence key leaders at the senior leadership level.
  • Can consistently connect short and long term strategy to business outcomes and client advocacy.
