Job Description

Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Markham Elevation Centre or the Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business] .

The Brand Integration Manager for the GM Canada Marketing organization, supports the Chief Marketing Officer with strategic planning across all four brands, organizational projects, presentations, communications, and shares feedback on the sentiment of the organization. This position also leads business planning, internal communications, learning & development, cultural transformation and change management.

This role is a key contributor to overall organization initiatives ensuring traction is made and is timely in execution, especially in retail-facing activities with the Retail excellence team. The individual will be expected to consult with stakeholders, VSSM Leadership Team members and collaborate with other Business Planners and key operational roles within the company.

A progressive record of accomplishments with a proven ability to lead change, collaborate and influence across all functions, effectively prioritize and thrive in an ambiguous/fast-paced environment while understanding the needs of the organization is required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing-wide, cross-brand, cross-functional projects
  • Provide feedback and direction for the marketing team on consolidated activities, retail campaigns and initiatives, presentations and planning needs
  • Act as the gate keeper of executive meetings and content, ensuring appropriate level of detail and strategic alignment for discussion, information, and decision records of key meetings
  • Assist the CMO with setting the strategic, business, and cultural priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership to ensure alignment with culture, vision, and business priorities
  • Strong integration with Communication partners securing seamless and integrated paid, owned, earned marketing and brand plans
  • Effectively partner with Human Resources on executing the implementation of people & culture strategies and initiatives that align with business strategy. This includes advising leadership on strategic organizational design and staff needs, identifying trends across the business groups and proactively propose and coordinate programs to address these trends.
  • Handle requests of and for the CMO such as presentations, speeches, executive updates, communications, meeting requests, recommendations, etc.
  • Manage the execution of Marketing meetings, event planning, audio-visual needs, and meeting content, booklets & activities

Skills and Abilities

  • Successfully obtained a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of marketing, sales or related experience
  • Prolific communication skills- mastery in distilling and simplifying complex business topics and retail tactics into simple, actionable communications to diverse internal audiences (marketing and brand teams, regional and retail teams etc)
  • Strategic thinker with effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across all levels to ensure understanding, message, and communications are appropriately tailored to the audience
  • Professional and organized, self-starter with managerial courage to listen, provide clear direction and feedback with all levels across the organization including executives
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, change management, and communications experience
  • Ability to lead others through influence and in alignment with all cultural behaviors
  • Attentive to detail and precision, with track record of flawless execution
  • Experience with all collaboration tools; MS Teams, SharePoint, VC, MS Office Suite
  • Travel as needed
  • High integrity and ability to manage highly confidential content
  • High level of time management and prioritization skills
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and difficult

Skills that will give you a competitive edge

  • Sales, Service & Marketing experience preferred
  • Experience with developing senior level communication packages in oral and written format
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures
  • Master’s Degree / MBA
