Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The PFP Student's area of responsibility will include providing general and administrative support to the PF&P Department as delegated by the various PF&P managers or supervisors in areas such as Procurement, Fleet, Asset Management, Real Estate, Lease Administration, and Sustainable Operations. This position’s home base is located at the County’s Administration Centre
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct research, reference checks, respond to general administrative inquiries.

Assist with records management, data entry, master data review and cleansing.

Gather data towards reporting on KPIs and performance measurables.

Inventory collection and record updates.

Project support tasks as assigned.

Provide customer service desk coverage for lunch and absences as required.

Provide clerical and administrative support to the PF&P Department as delegated, including filing, photocopying, minute-taking, and issuance of correspondence.

Comply with provincial and county occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Performs other duties as assigned related to the responsibilities of the job.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-
Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

Flexible with willingness to learn new tasks, multi-task and adapt to quickly changing priorities.
-
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and have a customer service focused attitude.

Experience working with Microsoft Office software programs is required.

Must have a Valid Class G License with access to a vehicle.

Professional with the ability to maintain confidentiality while working within a non-union/unionized environment.

Previous office experience would be considered an asset.

Previous SAP experience is preferred.

Must provide a clear criminal reference check from within the last 6 months

$18.62 - $22.15
