Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Systems Testing / Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support enterprise-level application testing initiatives for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing activities, including manual testing, automated testing, integration testing, regression testing, functional testing, performance testing, and accessibility validation.
This role requires hands-on experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and traceability matrices while working closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The ideal candidate will have experience testing enterprise systems within public sector environments, strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, automation tools, defect management platforms, API testing, and OPS quality assurance standards.

Position Summary
The Intermediate Systems Testing / QA Specialist will support software quality assurance activities by:
Developing and executing manual and automated test scenarios. Creating detailed test cases, scripts, and test data. Validating business requirements through comprehensive testing. Supporting enterprise application testing initiatives. Identifying, documenting, and managing defects. Collaborating with project teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery. Supporting Agile and structured testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Provide input into testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and resource requirements. Develop technical testing strategies and execution plans.
Create and maintain
Test plans Test scenarios Test cases Test scripts Test data requirements Traceability matrices Test execution reports Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.
Manual Testing & Quality Assurance
Execute comprehensive manual testing activities, including: Functional testing Integration testing Regression testing System testing Accessibility testing Non-functional testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Validate application behavior under different conditions. Perform backend validation and data verification. Execute test scenarios across GUI and non-GUI environments. Ensure solutions meet functional, technical, and business expectations.
Test Case Development & Defect Management
Design clear and comprehensive test cases based on business requirements. Develop test scenarios and use cases for validation. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects.
Utilize defect management tools including
ALM JIRA Bugzilla Azure DevOps Similar QA platforms Collaborate with developers and technical teams to reproduce and resolve issues. Monitor defect resolution progress and validate fixes.
Test Automation Support
Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
Support automation testing initiatives using tools such as
Selenium Katalon Appium Postman SoapUI Similar automation frameworks Execute API testing for RESTful and SOAP-based services. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Apply scripting knowledge for automation and test data preparation.
Performance, Security & Data Testing
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing activities.
Develop and execute performance test scripts using tools such as
JMeter LoadRunner Similar tools Analyze performance bottlenecks and scalability concerns. Perform data validation, migration testing, and transformation testing.
Validate
Data integrity Data consistency Data accuracy Support basic security testing activities and collaborate with security teams.
Agile Delivery & SDLC Support
Participate throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Collaborate with
Developers Business Analysts Project Managers Product Owners Technical Leads Participate in Agile ceremonies including: Sprint planning Daily stand-ups Sprint reviews Retrospectives Support iterative and Waterfall delivery methodologies. Provide quality metrics, status updates, and risk reporting.
Documentation & Release Support
Maintain detailed documentation of: Test execution results Test coverage Quality metrics Defect status Provide input into: User manuals Release notes Training materials Ensure testing activities comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
