Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary
Take charge of our accounts receivable and credit management operations. You'll be the point person for credit decisions, collections, and dispute resolution while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams. We need someone who's confident, persistent, and ready to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Risk Management:
- Review and analyze credit applications for new and existing customers
- Establish appropriate credit limits based on trade references and financial statements
- Conduct formal credit limit reviews annually or as business needs require
- Monitor customer activity and escalate concerns to Finance and Sales Management
- Review Industry Trade Credit Reports to support credit decisions
Collections & Account Management:
- Perform daily collections activities (calls, emails, reminders, mass communications)
- Manage assigned customer portfolio and past due invoices
- Drive consistent follow-up with customers to resolve outstanding balances
- Review and release customer orders based on credit standing
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers in customer organizations
Dispute Resolution & Coordination:
- Conduct weekly reviews of disputed balances and drive resolution
- Handle unearned discounts, duplicate deductions, and billing discrepancies
- Escalate billing issues and coordinate solutions with Sales Team and Customer Care
- Collaborate closely with Sales Management and Customer Care on collection concerns
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments
System & Process Management:
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records
- Support development of collection tools (GETPAID, QlikView)
- Support implementation of new ERP solution
- Follow all Credit Department policies and procedures
- Apply credit holds and release orders as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting an asset
- 5+ years of credit and collections experience (Manufacturing/Construction industry preferred)
- Strong background in credit analysis and limit management
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GETPAID system (preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP systems
Personal Attributes:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Energetic self-starter with initiative to improve processes
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual English/French (asset)
Salary: $70k+
