Managing Director, Canada Sales
About the Role
Element Fleet Management is seeking an accomplished B2B sales executive to lead our new business growth strategy in Canada. As Managing Director, Canada Sales, you’ll be accountable for driving new business development, cultivating internal and external C-suite relationships, and accelerating enterprise revenue growth.
This high-impact leadership role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven commercial leader who combines business acumen, executive presence, and proven sales success. You will lead a national team leveraging Element’s Commercial Operating Discipline, predictive analytics, and digital insights to expand Element’s market presence and deliver impactful financial performance.
What You’ll Do
Drive Enterprise Growth & New Business Development
- Lead national go-to-market strategy to win new B2B clients and expand Element’s client base across Canada.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at client and prospect organizations.
- Leverage sales analytics, CRM data, and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and optimize the sales funnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape competitive proposals, financial solutions, and pricing strategies aligned with client needs.
Lead & Develop a High-Performance Sales Team
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top commercial talent; foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous learning.
- Champion digital transformation within the sales organization, driving adoption of modern enablement platforms and performance tools.
- Lead the design and execution of the Canadian strategy to align teams around growth goals, Element’s value proposition and Commercial execution.
Operational Excellence & Collaboration
- Guide the full “wing-to-wing” sales process—from lead generation in partnership with the Inside Sales Team, to qualification, contract negotiation and implementation.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Risk, and Operations to ensure cohesive, customer-centric execution.
- Oversee key prospect engagements and complex negotiations to strengthen Element’s market leadership position.
- Partner with Commercial Excellence to inform decision-making and performance tracking.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive B2B sales and commercial leadership experience in financial services, fleet management, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level sales teams and closing high-value, consultative deals.
- Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite executives through strategic insight and credibility.
- Strong command of financial acumen, relevant market insights, and solution-based selling.
- Deep understanding of CRM platforms, analytics, and leading sales technology tools
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and ability to inspire at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience leading digital and AI focused sales organization(s).
- Track record of scaling revenue through data-driven, customer-centric strategies.
Location: Remote (Canada) – Toronto Preferred
The hiring base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $275,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
