Wage: $30.00 per hour
Employment Type: 40 hours per week
Term: Fixed-term contract for 10 weeks

Reporting to: Housing & Homelessness Program Manager

Position Overview:
The Support Staff will assist the Event Coordinator in delivering the two-day Indigenous Job Fair by providing hands-on administrative, outreach, and participant support. This role focuses on supporting coordination tasks, participant engagement, and event delivery, ensuring the job fair runs smoothly and participants feel supported before and during the event.
This position is also time-limited and designed to strengthen project delivery during peak planning and implementation periods.
Job Description**:**
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Assist with employer, partner, and participant communications
- Support scheduling, registrations, and tracking participant engagement
- Help organize materials, resources, and event logistics
Outreach & Participant Engagement
- Support promotion of the job fair through community networks and partners
- Assist with participant registration and follow-ups
- Provide information to participants about event schedules, employers, and supports
Participant Preparation Support
- Assist with one-on-one resume and interview preparation sessions
- Help participants access interview-appropriate clothing, work gear resources, applying for IDs, etc.
- Support referrals to wraparound services as directed by the Event Coordinator
Event Support (April 2026)
- Provide on-site assistance during the two-day job fair
- Support employer booths, registration desks, and participant flow
- Help ensure a welcoming and culturally safe environment
Post-Event Support
- Assist with follow-ups, data collection, and outcome tracking
- Support evaluation and reporting activities
