The**Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL)**is looking for compassionate, dependable people who are interested in becoming Home Share Providers in Fort St. John and the surrounding area.
Home Share is a meaningful residential option for adults with developmental disabilities. It offers a balance of support, dignity, independence, and belonging by matching an individual with a provider who welcomes them into their home and offers ongoing, personalized support.
For some individuals, Home Share is a stepping stone toward greater independence. For others, it is a long-term home where they can build a full and meaningful life in community.

About the opportunity As a Home Share Provider, you will enter into a contractual agreement with FSJACL and receive room and board plus additional support funding based on the needs of the individual served.
Providers offer day-to-day support in areas such as:

  • meal preparation
  • medication monitoring and reminders
  • personal care and hygiene
  • recreation and leisure
  • social connection
  • life skills development
  • community inclusion and participation

Basic requirements FSJACL will support applicants through the Home Share approval process, which includes:

  • home study
  • references and background check
  • criminal record check for working with vulnerable adults
  • physician’s certificate of good health
  • valid driver’s licence
  • valid First Aid with CPR
  • WCB insurance
