Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Coordinator provides direct support to the Chief of the Dept/Deputy Chief, Radiologists’ Team, Radiologists’ Team Leaders.
The successful candidate will have proven independent decision-making skills, critical thinking, enthusiasm, team cooperation hospital-wide and at the Academic level. Representing the Department/Hospital/Academic Dept is crucial while utilizing excellent communication skills, resourcefulness, problem-solving and maintaining confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a 2-year post-secondary program in a related field is required
  • 5 to 8 years related experience working within a busy health-care sector
  • Proven experience with working directly with a team of physicians
  • Experience with Physician Recruitment, Credentialing and University Academic Appointment is required
  • Proven strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to set own priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships while handling multiple tasks, conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions
  • Adapting to new and additional procedures as assigned and ability to meet deadlines is crucial

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative support to the Chief/Deputy Chief, Lead Radiologists, Radiologists, Clinical Fellows, Residents and Site Fellowship and Residency Site Supervisor
  • Recruitment – responsible to assist in all aspects and tasks involved in recruiting and onboarding new Radiologists and Clinical Fellows, including Hospital & Academic Appointments, Credentialing and CPSO licensing.
  • Offboarding Clinical Fellows, Radiologists and Residents as required
  • Daily Scheduling – Residents & Clinical Fellows & maintaining rotation, leave, conference statistics.
  • Process daily updates to schedules
  • Academic Dept of Radiology – Coordinate Visiting Professor Program presented by McMaster University, hosted by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton
  • Update SJHH Faculty Information/Photographs and Clinical Fellowship descriptions as required
  • Participate in bi-monthly team huddles with the Academic Chair and City-Wide Site Admins
  • Review Academic Appointment and book reviews
  • Provide support to SJHH Site Coordinator for the Radiology Residency Program
  • Organize/Assist CaRMS Interviews & Academic Half Days
  • Annual Golf Day and Graduation Dinner
  • Provide support to Residents / Dovetale Training / photos / dept access
