Salary - Range 2 - Starting from $43,758 per annum
Start Date: January, 2026
Job Summary
BC Centre for Ability is looking for a full-time Junior Systems Administrator. Under the direction from the Director of Business Intelligence and Infrastructure the junior systems administrator will perform a variety of duties including responding to help desk requests related to software and hardware. There is also a responsibility to upkeep, configuration and future expansion/upgrading of all servers, workstations, networking equipment, cloud services, and VOIP phone system.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to end user support including level 1 and some level 2 support.
- Software installation and support for a variety of applications
- Teams phone system maintenance and support
- Network maintenance and support
- Server maintenance and cloud stack support
- Multi-Server Microsoft environment support (MS Server/Azure/Windows)
- Account provisioning,
- Train users in new and existing IT systems
- Update or create end user documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant area.
Industry certifications or training considered an asset: MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, ITIL or equitant in work experience.
Skills Required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to lift over 40lbs equipment
- Good logical thinking and trouble shooting skills
- Experience with Windows/Office support
- Understanding of server hardware and maintenance
- Understating of firewalls, routers, and switches
- Ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities and priorities
- Self-motivated, creative thinking, organized and efficient
