The Role
Our company is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The successful candidate brings strong interpersonal skills and mature judgement, have the ability to identify and solve problems as well as ensuring all of the organization’s financial processes, procedures and reporting requirements are met. The Accounting Clerk should have the ability to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to produce a quality and accurate workflow.
In This Role, You Will
Process accounts payable invoices and associated payments either electronically or by cheque.
Ensuring that the purchasing process is followed and that the associated coding is accurate.
As requested, provide accurate and detailed reports.
Liaise with vendors regarding payments, invoices and PO issues.
Assist with process enhancement and documentation.
Deposit cashier for incoming payments for tenants, vendors, house purchases, etc.
The above responsibilities will apply to several business units across head office and/or retail operations.
Assist all members of the team in times of heavy volume or special “one-off” projects.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Accounting diploma or degree is an asset.
1-3 years of related experience.
Experience with Yardi or Mark Systems/ECI accounting software’s are an asset.
Experience in real estate, property management or land development environment would be considered an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Consistently produces accurate, high-quality work.
Ensuring deadlines are met.
Good time management skills.
Strong problem solving and work ethic.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and think analytically.
Bilingual (French & English) is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time office environment.
Salary Range: $50,000 annually
Vacancy Type: Replacement
