The intern will have a unique opportunity to learn more about capital markets and payment settlement by participating in the preparation and analysis of risk reports relating to investment portfolios. The Bank's activities in this regard include the management of mandatory payments, payments for external and internal customers of the Bank, foreign exchange, analysis of international financial sanctions, compliance, and many others.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the day-to-day operational activities in support of the financial markets with respect to risk management policies.
• Participates in the analysis and resolution of problems regarding the process of operations and financial products. Opportunity to work with senior analysts and managers in continuous improvement projects.
• Analyzes the information collected to ensure the quality of management information and to explain variances.
• Collaborates in the development of new processes and procedures based on products and managers' needs.
• Performs any other task of the same nature or of a general nature requested by his or her superior or required during his or her duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Business Administration student with a focus on Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

• Proficiency with Office tools (including Excel);

• Good learning ability;

• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and analytical skills;

• Positive attitude, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team remotely or in person;

• Rigor and attention to detail;

• Bilingualism* (French & English) oral and written

• Experience in the banking and/or financial sector an asset.

• Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
