Hydrovac Truck Helper with Cando are responsible for performing the safe and efficient cleaning of the Locomotives. Working in a fast-paced, customer oriented environment, the Labourers must work well to maximize efficiency while demonstrating a strong initiative and safety focus.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Pressure wash and scrub locomotives
• This will include exterior cleaning, car body, and interior cleaning
• Adhere to all Health and Safety Programs; conduct job hazard analysis, report unsafe working conditions, and ensure they are repaired immediately
• Work and operate equipment according to customer and Cando’s safety rules and regulations
• Ensure the site is clean, tidy, organized, and a safe work place at all times
• Clean and maintain the containment barrier preventing leaks.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Prioritize and perform multiple tasks with the ability to meet daily demands and function in busy situations
• We are looking for an honest, dependable, reliable, hard working individual.
• Medically fit to work in a safety sensitive environment; physically fit including the ability to pull self up and down
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions the site operates 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week
• Demonstrate initiative to work with others to foster a respectful workplace
• Able to accept new challenges and responsibilities as they arise

Education & Experience

• Training will be provided; Must be able to hold and maintain required certification.
• Ability to get to and from work
• Travel interprovincially is required
