Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to support governance, risk, and assurance functions. Reporting to the Manager of Governance, Enterprise Risk and Assurance, the role involves planning, testing, and analyzing business activities, ensuring effective internal controls, and supporting compliance programs such as C-SOX, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Complete internal audit engagements, including planning, testing, and documenting work per IIA standards
• Develop and execute detailed audit procedures; evaluate processes, systems, and internal controls
• Carry out ICFR program: risk assessments, walk-throughs, control testing, and reporting findings
• Track implementation of management’s agreed internal control improvements
• Provide feedback on policies and new processes/controls when requested
• Maintain strong working relationships with corporate, business unit, and senior leaders
• Uphold integrity and confidentiality at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Your Strengths Include

• Team player with strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline
• CPA Professional Accounting designation
• Post-designation audit experience: Senior: 1–2+ years
• Firm experience considered an asset
• Experience with CSOX/SOX compliance considered an asset
• Strong business analytical skills (process mapping, improvement, root cause analysis)
• Knowledge of IIA audit standards, COSO internal control framework, and ERM
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
