About the role

Title: Process Analytics Specialist

Location: 292109 Prime Close, Rocky View County, AB (behind the Century Downs Racetrack/Casino in Balzac). This is not on a bus route.

Job Overview Reporting to the Manager, Process Improvement, as the Process Analytics Specialist you are responsible for analyzing the current processes within Star. The Process Analytics Specialist supports process improvements, evaluations, and reporting functionality.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • Analyzing, evaluating, and preparing data to support a variety of company reports, processes, and procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Researching and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of managerial policies, programs, and workflows.
  • Assisting in reporting, communication, and compliance with established processes and standards.
  • Participating in process improvement events and training sessions, providing data-backed insights to support change initiatives.
  • Supporting business improvement initiatives with data analysis, analytical reviews, and business case creation, ensuring recommendations are measurable and actionable.
  • Developing strong working relationships with all business unit stakeholders and supporting personnel, fostering a collaborative data-driven culture.
  • Providing regular updates on company paybacks, benefits, and project deliverables, ensuring visibility of results to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Leading and maintaining key operational KPI frameworks (including OTIF and quality), ensuring metrics are accurate, clearly defined, and consistently applied across Calgary and Edmonton.
  • Collaborating closely with operations and production teams to identify root causes, implement improvements, and sustaining high standards through shared accountability and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Developing and managing accessible dashboards and reports that provide timely, actionable insights, enabling all teams to make informed decisions and continuously improve results.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Data Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of building materials industry standards and practices.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
